Dead Sea!

And here we are at the lowest place on earth! After climbing the Masada and being surrounded by the still, silent water of the Dead Sea, we began our descent, inching closer and closer to the Sea with each step. Once we arrived, the golden desert of Jordan seemed as though it was within arms reach- the water served as mirror, reflecting its majestic hills. Floating in the Sea, we were surrounded by sunny skies, crisp air, but most importantly, by the fellow Birthright participants and soldiers who are now our friends. To rejuvenate our skin (and perhaps also as a tourist rite of passage), many of us also covered our bodies in mud. Floating and relaxing by the water was a picture-perfect ending to our excursion.
