We apologize for the lack of blogging...internet access has been very hard to come by throughout our trip.
Over the past few days we have toured around the north and spent significant time in Jerusalem. In Jerusaelm, we toured around the old city, celebrated Shabbat, and explored Yad Vashem (the Holocaust memorial museum) and Mt. Herzl. Going to the Kotel with our group of 8 soldiers who have been with us for several days was extremely moving and emotional.
Last night we slept in a bedouin tent and this morning we climbed Masada and then floated in the dead sea! Yesterday we also had a very special guided tour of Ben Gurion's grave from Sharona Kramer, our Penn Hillel staff. Sharona worked as the Ben Gurion Museum before coming to Penn, so she had a lot of knowledge to share!
The trip has flown by and we can't believe it is coming to a close tomorrow. We've seen many ancient sites along the way, and tomorrow we'll end with a visit to Tel Aviv, taking in the modern aspects of Israel.
